A scent inspired by one of the greatest creative talents of the 20th Century, Diaghilev is a truly theatrical perfume which brings to life the multi-sensory experience of a performance at Paris’ Opera House. Defying the rules of convention, Diaghilev completely re-defined the meaning of artistry and became the catalyst for the Art-Deco movement. This trailblazing spirit which has been immortalised by this incredibly complex creation which pushes decadence to the extreme with a grand total of 33 raw materials which work in perfect harmony to create a complex Chypré accord that is at once spicy, fruity and leathery. A perfume of unapologetic opulence, Diaghilev lingers in the memories of those who smelt it long after it has left. Unlike anything that came before it, the cult status of this scent is not without justification.

A scent of two sides, Great Britain allows the natural beauty of its landscapes to blend harmoniously with the interiors of proud British institutions. Classical leathery tones mingle with polished Woods to evoke the grand library of a stately home, where the scent of a tended Rose garden drifts in through open French windows. The Woods and Mosses inherent to its Chypré base of this British Parfum evoke the rolling countryside and sprawling forests, carpeted in a purple haze of powdery Violets.

The Perfumer’s Insight

“The GREAT Britain Campaign was launched in 2012 to capitalise on the excitement generated by the Diamond Jubilee and London Olympics and Paralympics. Since then, the campaign has grown and can now be seen across 144 countries. The initiative was created to help British companies gain access Government services and showcase the best of what the UK has to offer to inspire the world and encourage people to visit, do business, invest and study in the U.K. In 2013, I was appointed an Ambassador for the GREAT Britain Campaign – it was one of the proudest moments of my life. This scent is the result of the time I was asked to create the essence of the world’s first GREAT festival, which was held in Istanbul. I had to think what epitomised Britain and ‘Britishness’. We are a country that is known for having a huge element of tradition and a lot of long-established institutions. I believe British people have always been very good at doing pomp and circumstance like no other country, but we are also renowned for being very reserved. I loved the idea of making a scent that was at once opulent but also tailored, understated, and disciplined. This perfume celebrates our nation’s great tradition for creativity and our respect of heritage.” – ROJA Dove.
