Pepper Gine Tonique
Extrait de Parfum
Description
A REBELLIOUS HANDSHAKE BETWEEN TWO WORLDS
The inspiration begins in Phú Quốc, famed for its native black pepper – fiery, raw, rustic yet profound and lingering. The pepper here carries a distinctive warmth, with a sharp tingle, a faint earthiness, sometimes evoking the scent of soil after a tropical rain. For us, pepper is not merely an ingredient; it is a part of culture, a fragment of Vietnam’s soul.
In contrast to the heat of pepper, we chose gin crystal clear, deeply cold, airy like a thin wisp of smoke dissolving into air. The aroma of gin carries juniper berries, a whisper of green apple, a refined tart freshness touched with tropical nuances, blending with light pinewood and a hint of citrus peel as cool as frost.
When developing Pepper Gine Tonique, we did not simply place two scents side by side. We searched for the equilibrium within opposition how to let the heat of pepper sharpen without drowning out the purity of gin, and how to let the chill of gin gleam without diluting the spice. It is exactly this contrast that defines the fragrance: a shifting motion, transforming as you perceive it fiery, then cool, then awakening.
Unlike traditional scents that are “safe” and predictable, Pepper Gine Tonique makes you pause, smell again, and ask: “What am I truly sensing?” It does not aim to please everyone – and that is deliberate. This is a fragrance for those ready to be different.
